Activities of the Working Party (October '05 report)

1. Arising out of the findings of the working party previous research project on primary schools, guidelines on computer ergonomics for primary teachers are being developed.  It was decided to disseminate information to primary school teachers in 2 forms. The first to be developed in the immediate/short term will be in the form of a written (with schematics) booklet to be distributed to teachers. The second will be in the medium term and will be in the form of a poster.

 2. The working party has decided to commence a research project to investigate the use of computers in secondary schools in the Republic of Ireland, and to investigate the extent of secondary school teachers education in computer ergonomics. It is intended to survey schools during Feb/Mar  6.
